JEROEN DUENK
When he studied osteopathy for horses at the 'Hippo Sofia Academie', Jeroen Duenk learned many new techniques and he soon discovered that he could feel much more intense. “I also discovered that during the treatment of horses I got much deeper contact with the horse and as a result, I was able to get much deeper into the tissue to remove blockades. All by working very gently.”
The results of these ‘gentle techniques’ combined with Jeroen's own massage techniques are fascinating. "The horses start to cooperate with me. It is a form of interactive collaboration, where I now also treat holistically.”
“What is special about the way I work with horses is not so much that I do something, but mainly how I work with these animals. It’s the way of interacting with the horse and the combination of treatments that make my method special. I will never enforce anything during treatment, rather ask the animal to cooperate.”
“It’s crucial to invite the horse to work from his relaxed part of its autonomic nervous system (complete confidence and relaxation). Only from that state, the horse is able to recover and will I be able to support the body to heal itself.”
In order to remove any residual stresses, Jeroen Duenk applies dry needling techniques. He also successfully passed this training.
